2016 Year in Review

2016 was a tremendous year of growth for Got Your Back Total Health. We hoped you learned as much from us as we did from you: our students, patients, and followers. 2017 will continue to be a year where we try to set ourselves apart as the leading educators and teachers on movement, resiliency, strength and health in the Washington DC area.

Here is a recap!

Jan 2016: GYBTH hosts its first ever Press Reset to Be....clinic offsite at Brian Wright Personal Training in Ashburn VA. The message of Original Strength continues to grow

Feb 2016: Coach Cooley, GYBTH Chief Movement Officer, assists StrongFirst Level 1 Kettlebell Certification in Ashburn VA at CrossFit Impavidus. This three-day certification is the gold standard in kettlebell training in the fitness industry. 

April 2016: Coach Cooley is a judge for the Tactical Strength Challenge. Incidentally, his guest blog post about how he used principles of Original Strength and "Pressing reset" gains recognition.

May 2016: What a busy month! GYBTH hosted it second Press Reset to Be.....Clinic at Fitness on the Run in Alexandria, VA. The staff at Fitness on the Run loved the concept of pressing reset! In addition, Coach Cooley assisted in a StrongFirst User Course. The StrongFirst Kettlebell Course is the most thorough and in-depth kettlebell training you can get in a single day. Developed by Pavel Tsatsouline and taught by some of our most qualified instructors, it is the eight-hour kettlebell workshop—perfected.

Aug 2016: GYBTH welcomed staff member Rochelle to our office and Chief Movement Officer Colin Cooley began his 10th year of teaching at American University.

Sept 2016: GYBTH hosted it first ever StrongFirst User Course at our Upper Northwest DC location

Oct 2016: Another busy month as GYBTH welcomed staff member and massage therapist Marianne Panke to our office as well as hosting the first ever Crawl the Mall. Dr. Klein was lucky enough to be featured in several news outlets, most importantly the Washington Post.

Nov 2016: GYBTH took a big step in expanding it services to include open gym hours, small group training and personal training.

Dec 2016: GYBTH Medical Assistant and employee extraordinaire Joey "Leander" Gomes completed his Level 2 Pro Reset Workshop and started his path in becoming an Original Strength Certified Coach.

 

So there you have it. Some of the bigger things we did in the year 2016. As always the best things we do on a day to day basis involve you the patient, student, and follower. We look forward to an awesome 2017 full of growth and health!
